hv 5 pieces of yam 

quite much browning n bruised 

juz no so fresh 




right after cooking 
yam stay floating 
can see skin shriveled 
this time
after bring to boil, only set abt 20mins 
already releasing starch n turn foamy 
maybe coz these yams are thin 
n thus easily cooked 







the “two section” yam 
the skin at the joint is like 肚腩打摺
beneath the skin got a bit grey flesh 








a piece got deep bruises 
the bruised part is clear cut 








one of them got grey flesh after cooking 
got a few inches at the end 
likely rotten 
even that further from the end flesh is white, those white flesh is not starchy 
actually.. whole piece looks a bit translucent 
n taste watery like radish 







another piece 
got rough skin rugged surface 
beneath dark brown skin is a bit light grey flesh

got 5 pieces jp yam

plus 1 piece of broken one 

looks less bruised than last trial 





the round end of the broken piece 
got skin wrapped end broke n wasted some flesh 
yet by storing in fridge, flesh no gone bad 



the two section piece 
at one end got grey flesh.. very obvious 
towards that end flesh not starchy
at the joint part, beneath skin is a bit grey flesh








the most scratches marks piece
yet beneath skin only a little bit grey flesh 
most flesh tastes starchy.. still fresh..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- galia melon @20190404 three melons all got rotten spots...  sign of rot on the stem end...  and at the bottom... the blackened part has become soft and spongy...  opening look... out of my expectation... thought galia melon is with green flesh, as suggested on the web...   seeds removed... no rotting inside the flesh... that was not juicy when cut...   the seeds inside are sweet... but are scary to me coz my mouth would react badly, burning n bleeding... some kind of melon allergy...  spongy flesh towards the one end...  next the second melon...   the second one is paler... and the bottom end got serious moldy rot...  the spongy flesh towards one end...  cut out showing how deep it was infected... some of the flesh become translucent... n that rotting smell is obvious...  the rotten sp...
