durian(overripe, mouldy) 20191029

durian  @20191029  one single durian weight unsure...  stored in chamber while already split open inside abt 2 days got mouldy on the edge of open...  stem becomes damp n wet as well...   start meal of durian 0330... done one durian only... til 0450... it's a bit overripe n got mouldy in chamber... lucky flesh is not affected by mould yet... also no much flesh... some was underdeveloped... one of the flesh pocket only got a tiny piece... flesh got watery n grey on the part attaching seed... same as the one @20191028 some seeds are cracked open... likely overripe...

durian 20191028

durian @20191028 one single durian abt 7lbs ... split open wide with all 5 seams visible stem fall apart gone missing most of the shell shows golden yellow smelling good pinching some spikes are still quite firm yet easy pull open likely perfectly ripe already  open up not quite gd amount of flesh... large proportion of shell thick rind btw the meaty pod on the left hand side was hurt while pulling open... it's a piece wif 6 splitting... which is a rare case... one of the other flesh is much fatter... however all flesh are a bit watery overripe too soft n gooey tastes a bit alcoholic towards the seed as seen in pic flesh near seed are more watery flesh fibres attaching to the seed gone grey... some seeds are wif cracks... some seeds got black spots, likely mouldy... single durian meal lasts 4 1.5hrs...

yellow split peas 20191025

yellow split peas @20191025 first experiment on yellow peas... open up hard like regular beans like most other beans got irregularity hv them rinse n sort through while wash smells real like sth... cant tell by now smell is not like lentils or kidney beans... dump into hot water n finally!! finally think of what it smells like - peanuts... coz rinse 4 quite long... first half bag soaking in hot water long start counting 30mins simmer when all in water.. 30 mins results in quite hard peas... not mushy like not cooked through... texture like crunchy peanuts ... also similar to firm lotus seeds... after some bites give it 10 mins more simmer... actually not much difference... maybe should hv soak b4 hand? notice that even if overcook still can hold shape juz kinda firm like peanuts... the outer part of peas got a membrane layer? the layer is waxy firm therefore not like red lentils which would be mushy... when pea...

lentils 2019 October 22-23

lentils @2019 October 22-23 #1 organic lentils @20191022 in water simmering 4 18mins... no include washing time soak up a bit already result is quite well done... most are mushy some still intact wif the sprout emerges though organic doesn't mean high quality quite many rot looking seeds n a hull is found... notice the bottom of pic... #2 organic lentils @20191023 while boiling the beany aroma is obvious meanwhile make me think of 西洋菜湯 too same boiling abt 15mins... similar result... mich more unfinished... just late... bad lentil seeds..  on the left got two seed hull n also a grain thats like barley or oat...

durian (rotten, no gd) 2019 Oct 18-20

durian (last ones this year)(turns out not yet) (overripe rot) *two entries durian @20191018 at that moment got 2 durians decided hv 1 only coz it's late btw wanna keep one tmr...  a bit split open at the bottom... mouldy on stem end...  omg super hard to open... n inner rind still hard though flesh is not firm but mushy watery... flesh taste no like previous custardy durian... flesh not that sweet... but never sour... flesh also look a bit black... notice on the right got a piece of shell that is break up by force, coz it's not opening up along the seams... durian @20191020  same mouldy as last one also quite many black spot... wait so long still hardly an opening split... but only grow mouldy... same hard to open hard rind... yet a bit firmer flesh... same dark fibres... this one even with more brown fibers on rind... smells like melon juz without that tempting fragrance of durian... bite was same...

peaches, 2019 oct 16-17

peaches @20191016 china peaches juz as regular nothing special... some are more red on the skin while some are more to the white or yellow tone smell peachy sweet... skin peeled of are white, or beige colour flesh some part of flesh will hv a pinky hue wonder if that's artificial colouring of skin??? anyway flesh taste as sweet as typical peach... towards the seed will become bright pink or even dark red... those oxidized ones will become brown... peach @20191017 got china peaches plus trying usa donut peaches removing the wrappers showing the outlook of fruit some are yellowish n pale pink some are wif deep pink or bright red skin... china peaches juz as peachy sweet as usual... nothing special no pics captured... below it's the details of the USA donut peach... touching oily smelling no fragrant seeing much brown blotches open up oxidized... flesh turned brown... same re...

plum 20191015

plum, red @20191015 @pkshop got 6 boxes... done abt 4 boxes... feel no good... sour... no appetizing...  colour of the skin cant tell the ripeness... only by feeling those soft ones will be more ripe... even the soft ripe ones wont be sweet enough... no appealing... deep coloured skin more likely to hv red flesh... red flesh more sour than pale yellow flesh...
