same green mango that had earlier this month...
four pieces this time...
1st
smells rot
oily on the outside already
the other side looks totally bruised free
soft but still firm enough
opening up it's a totally deep orange yellow flesh
despite its rotten part
taste juicy sweet smooth
the rotten part comes out clear cut
the other side looks fine but with a bit bruises
the rest of the flesh is very sweet
a bit overripe to me though
the creaminess n the sweetness is like eating a mango pudding
2nd
it's a greener one
but with stem end rot
less oily on the skin
visible sign fibres on the skin
opening it's a orange yellow flesh one
but less deep than the 1st
lots of bruises part
stem end rot affects not much
not over sweet this time
juz the right ripe sweet taste
3rd
a green one with little yellow tone on skin
looks n feels very bruised
opening up is a orange yellow flesh
but as felt by the outside it's real very bruised
again the consistency like mango pudding
though with the rot affected blackened fibre strands
sweet thru the centre
4th
green n yellow two tone like 迷彩
with a clear rot and feels a big bruise on one side
with 甜點
not so oily skin
opening revealed the big bruise next to the rot
orange yellow one
ripe n sweet
looks taste very good on the stem-end side
the sweetness is at the best stage of four pieces

the first four pieces...
1st
have a seemingly less ripe one first...
coz judging by its less sweet smell n the hard green skin...
opening up its juicy nectar falling out...
golden yellow flesh under the skin...
likely very sweet by the smell...
turns out it's a ripe enough piece...
though with a bit of two tone noticed...
bites at the centre are less sweet than the outside...
juz as my expectation it's a firm flesh mango
like re2e2 mango...
n the taste of this thai apple mango I'd say juz nothing special...
its sweet n juicy...
about the same sweetness of regular r2e2...
juz thinking that Thailand mangoes seems to be of better quality than Vietnam ones...
2nd
another piece that looks underripe...
judging by the hardness n the less sweet scent...
knife sliding thru seems softer than the 1st one...
yet the skin is hard to peel...
so strange on this piece that I gotta bite away the skin...
the flesh is very firm...
a very golden yellow right under the skin...
yet bite into reveals a clear two tone...
but is not sour for the light yellow part only less sweet...
the whole piece is sweet enough to me...
a super tiny seed left...
3rd
much green on skin...
but smell sweet on the stem...
thought it would be more ripe...
opening up looks similar to the previous two...
bite into saw two tone again...
this time the light yellow part taste more sour...
other nothing special...
another tiny seed...
**skip the rot one
have the other 4 pieces...
4th
start with the greenest one first...
another one hard to tear the skin...
bite away skin already notice obvious two tone flesh...
this time it's much more sour for most flesh...
5th
no obvious two tone...
but towards the centre is a bit sour...
though flesh towards the skin is golden yellow n sweet...
somehow flesh towards centre is a bit medicine like...
overall it's a fine sweet piece...
6th
a very golden orange yellow skin one...
though still with a bit green...
on top got a concave line...
throughout the body got 雀斑spots...
those spots may indicate its ripeness...
strangely the stem end rot without a sign on the outside...
a little sour towards the seed...
overall it's a quite sweet n juicy one...
two of them unfinished coz time is overrunning...
but do cut up the super rotten piece...
juz wanna know how serious the flesh is affected...

hooray~ met nam dok mai again in store after two weeks no seeing them... therefore grab chance to have more b4 they run out...
1st
a little bruise on the pointed tip...
quite 花碌碌 much marks on skin...
deep yellow skin but still a bit firm to touch...
the stem end has already started wilting out...
opening up colour looks ok yellow...
flesh near the skin is sweet enough...
biting into the centre is sour...
though the colour is hard to capture, its paler towards the seed...
the seed inside somehow started rotting or diseased...
2nd
again many dots n spots on skin...
more soft to touch than 1st one...
opening up it's a more golden yellow one...
biting into the centre is also same golden yellow...
sweet n creamy throughout the whole piece ...
only the last bites at the seed will be a bit sour...
this stage of sweetness kinda makes it lose the floral tone...
3rd
a very deep yellow colour skin...
with much dots n spots...
a few soft bruised points...
stem has started to wilt...
opening up its orange yellow even on the part that is not bruised...
the flesh is super sweet... a bit over sweet to me...
notice some white blobs of flesh near the seed...
maybe some kind of insect stinks?
but juz have it coz it would be hard to spot out...
juz dun wanna waste the flesh as it tastes fine...
4th
paler yellow but quite soft one...
yet smell less sweet than the deep yellow ones...
opening up less golden yellow flesh...
knife down feel firmer as well...
turns out its juz bruised n thus soft...

the deeper the more sour...
it's a sour mango though the softness n colour is ok... flesh tastes like pomelo...

n that means I'm having a sour piece after some sweet pieces...
which makes it tastes even more sour... omg...
a good indicator should be the smell the colour for this variety of mango...

n this reserves for my dear nam doc mai...
1st
lots of dots n spots 甜點...
should be ripe n sweet enough...
got an interesting concave poke on the side...
opening up feel very soft...
golden yellow flesh... very juicy very sweet...
but never overly sweet still got the floral tone...
juz the perfect ripeness ...
one side at the seed somehow got diseased ...
that part is a light to white flesh with some black fibres... juz wonder why...
2nd

opening up is real juicy when knife down...
paler yellow both the skin n the flesh...
though colour is not obvious, the taste of flesh is a two tone one...
more sour towards the seed...
got a bit of stem end rot that is almost hard to tell from outside...
this is a not fully ripe one but I'm ok with that tangy taste...
last bites at seed taste like pomelo never finish it...

a part even got a grey cluster...
knife down already super juicy...
n still a golden yellow one...
the grey part didn't affect deep ...
only 2mm beneath skin...
all flesh is golden yellow...
whole thing is super juicy super sweet n creamy...
though think it's a bit overripe...
somehow too sweet that I sense bitterness...
or is it because it's diseased?
marks at the stem end didn't affect much either...
turns out maybe too ripe that got rots at seed...

that's like the persimmon flesh...
despite those dicolouring the whole piece is super sweet n juicy ...
juz pure sweet that loses that unique floral scent omg...
got some white blobs at the centre...
